Sea Hibiscus – Hibiscus tiliaceus

The tropical sea hibiscus is native to the coastal areas of Australia, South East Asia, and the South Pacific. It is fast growing and while it’s leaves can get very large when growing in nature, up to 7 inches in length, the can be reduced with proper technique to be used for bonsai. Often the leaves can be reduced down to the size of a nickel. The sea hibiscus naturally grows along shorelines, coastlines, and beaches and so loves water. This tree is currently in a 6 inch pot.
